You have about to complete your second trimester
of your lovely journey. By this time you are already feeling the kicks of your
little one and hence it is time you start tracking them. From now on your baby
would grow faster now and so would your weight; do not panic. Here we provide
you with a small guide for pregnancy symptoms you might notice in this
month.
1. Prenatal
Classes
This is the time to start looking for
your prenatal class in your neighbourhood. You can take these sessions the
beginning of third semester. If possible try to involve your partner in these
sessions; this would surely make you feel better and strengthen your bond. After
consulting your gynac or mid-wife you can start with your pregnancy yoga
as well.
2. Vaginal
secretions
There is a possibility that you might notice
some yellow discharge from the vagina. This is known as yeast
infection. Do not panic. Mild secretion is common during this time of
pregnancy; however, if the same is high do consult your doctor for the same.
3. Carpel
tunnel syndrome
In the sixth month you might notice that
your fingers go numb, prickly and tingly; it is known as carpel tunnel
syndrome. From this time onwards there is high probability of swollen hands
and legs. This is due to lack of blood circulation in the body and accumulation
of excessive fluid in your body which is not going out. In order to avoid such
situations you need to drink plenty of water. Drinking water will help you to
flush out the unnecessary fluid thus cleaning your body. Also, ensure you do
not sit at one place for a long period of time; regular movements are
necessary.
4. Tiredness
This is the time where you need to slow
down. Now the baby is growing at a faster pace and hence you might also feel
more tired from now onwards. Avoid over exerting yourself and take maximum rest
as you need to save energy for labour and post pregnancy period.
5. Pamper
yourself
Pregnancy demands lot of pampering as
well. This is the time to tell your partner to give you a soothing massage on your
back and feet. A good pregnancy massage would help you to rejuvenate
your mind, body and soul.
