The Last Month of Pregnancy

The time for the arrival of the baby is approaching. Everyone in the house is excited and you internally are bored with the baby bum. You now want to hold your baby in your arm and the days suddenly become longer. With the huge baby bum it becomes difficult to move around and yes it is time for you to rest. Below are some tips for your last month of pregnancy.

Sleep Rest Sleep!

Yes you read it right; this is the time you need to catch up on your sleep and take maximum rest. At this moment enjoy complete 8 hours of night sleep as soon you will have breaks in them. Your body is now heavy and hence avoid to stress yourself.

Maternity Leave

If you are still working then take a maternity leave once you enter the last month of pregnancy. It is very important that you take out some time for yourself too before the baby’s arrival. If possible go for a nice massage session near your house.

Birth announcement plan

You can now sit and decide how you want to announce the birth of your baby. Find or write down some good thoughts and lines to share across with your friends and families. Involve your partner in the same; it is fun and cute. You can also decide on a vendor of chocolates or sweets; if you plan to distribute them along with the birth announcement. Trust me you will not have time and energy at a later stage.

Hospital Bag

In the whole excitement; do not forget to pack your hospital bag. You will not know when you might have to run to the hospital. Ensure you have your essential things in your bag. Some of the things include; slippers, baby clothes, clothes for yourself, sanitary pads, diapers and cream for the new born, your grooming kit, pair of clothes for yourself. You may also want to take your lucky charm or your favourite book to soothe yourself.

Pre Natal Exercises

Do not miss on your regular pre-natal exercises. These help you to have strong back and will make your labour easy and quick.

Check the baby essentials

It is always good to check the baby essentials with you. Ensure you stock them well. Ensure you have enough clothes, diapers, cream, bath wash and wipes for the baby. If not then you can always order them online.

If you are staying alone all day in the house; keep some emergency numbers handy and if possible inform your neighbours as well so they can help you during labour.
